Food is going to cost more now that CA. cut off 90% of water to farmers so the gov is starving farmers now.
Employers in the U.S. cut 467,000 jobs in June, the unemployment rate rose and hourly earnings stagnated, offering little evidence the Obama administrations stimulus package is shoring up the labor market.
The payroll decline was more than forecast and followed a 322,000 drop in May, according to Labor Department figures released today in Washington. The jobless rate jumped to 9.5 percent, the highest since August 1983, from 9.4 percent.
Unemployment is projected to keep rising for the rest of the year just as the income boost from the stimulus package fades, undermining prospects for a sustained rebound in household purchases, analysts said. As companies from General Motors Corp. to Kimberly-Clark Corp. cut costs, the lack of jobs will restrain growth.
California as of March 2009 has 10% unemployment. Recently the dodgers had 500 jobs available. Guess what? Over 4,500 people showed up. When I was a kid I used to go to Dodger Stadium. Now look a the mess they are in.
How bad is it? I was raised in West Covina, California. My father had a very successful business there from 1955 to 1975. Today? It's a mess.
Our home was purchased in 1971 for 37,000 dollars. The house was on 1/3 acre of land, had a great swimming pool and house design.
By 2004 the house had increased in value to over 800,000 dollars. My Mom in poor health took a loan out against the property to purchase a home outright in Orange County to be closer to my sister. Between 2004 and 2007 the house dropped in value. My Mom has a 500,000 loan. About 6 months ago someone offered 525,000 dollars for the house but my Mom refused to sell it, she wanted 575,000 for it. Long story short. The qualified buyer purchased another home. My still has the loan against it.
America wake up.
Buy Storable Food,
Buy Water
Get some cash.
Purchase some gold.
One interesting note about West Covina. The town is actually part of the San Gabriel Valley, not the Inland Empire. The reason they claim that West Covina and Pomana are a part of it is wrong. It is very interesting to note that the economy in California (which is larger than India's), has tanked so bad that even West Covina is considered by of the Inland Empire.
Sad. Forget Democrats and Republications. Both parties are corrupt bought off and paid for by lobby groups. D now stand for Depression and R stand for Revolution. My hope and prayer is that people in California will stay grounded. Then again, if you research the statistics, it is far worse than being reported on the News.
With the California economy $24 billion in debt, the state has asked for federal aid. But should the government ride to the rescue?
